I guide on the inshore waters of Tampa Bay, Clearwater, Tarpon Springs, St. Petersburg, and everywhere in between.

Tampa Bay, Tarpon Springs, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg are some of the most fertile, inshore fishing grounds in all of Florida. Beaches, mangrove shorelines, brackish creeks and rivers, and expansive grass flats are the settings for our inshore fishing charters. Snook, redfish, trout, and tarpon are our main targets but seasonally we also target grouper, sheephead, cobia, and more.

It’s now May, and in the Tampa Bay area that means one very awesome thing… It’s time to go tarpon fishing! Tarpon are here and they’re eating. If you’ve never hooked a fish that was so powerful that it can strip every inch of your 300 yards of line in less than 30 seconds, you’ve been missing out. Don’t miss out any longer!

Tarpon are the largest and most powerful of all inshore game fish in Florida. May through August, we target tarpon on fishing charters that leave out of St. Petersburg, Florida.

What can I say? It’s spring time here on the West Central coast of Florida and the bite in the Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg, Tarpon Springs and Port Richey areas is good. The weather is great (mid-80′s), and the redfish and trout are cooperating really nicely.

What can I say about February 2012? Well… there have been a few tough mornings. However, the tough mornings that we did have gave way to great afternoon fishing with redfish up to 15 lbs, trout up to 5 lbs and even a few early season snook here and there.

A warm winter has made for great fishing!

For the most part, we’ve had a tremendously warm winter and the bite has been just as hot. The weather has stayed in the mid 70′s up to the mid 80′s all throughout this winter and it has made for some really pleasant days on the water as well as provided us some great fishing.

I had a day off and decided to take my two oldest children fishing with me to scout around for upcoming charters. They’ve never been fishing with me on a “serious” fishing trip and I wasn’t sure how things would go. I didn’t know if they would get bored, tired, hungry, fussy… etc. But, they did great.
